Look at what you dont have!!
An outdoor kitchen! Shaded by a wall of trees!
And what is that in the center? A courtyard?
We know by now that this is the home of bajillionaire Noam Gottesman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noam_Gottesman
Sometimes boyfriend to Lucy Liu:

The Bandage Comes Off: Biggest Home I’ve Ever Seen in NY in Real Life
iONWV has been obsessing with the construction on the corner of Jane and Washington ever since we heard the rumor that this enormous building was actually a single family home. After two years, the scaffolding came off…and although the exterior is simple, I can only imagine what is happening within those original brick walls.
A few things I would like to say to this Giant Home:
1. Thank you for making me feel like a total peasant.
2. Thank you for the 24 hour security outside of your entrances for the past two years…I have take advantage of it like it was there for me, standing outside my own apt at all hours of the night knowing your people will help me if I am robbed by a tranny.
3. Thank you for having oversized shutters on your lower windows. Didnt even know they made those. I love them and I hope to buy one for a window in my home some day.
4. I have seen a rooftop kitchen being built…and I just want to say that I am available for a BBQ. Any of the 3 times you are going to be at this house during the year.
Obama Comes to the WV forcing dog walkers to carry doodie
Obama is coming to the West Village tonight for a fund raiser at Harvey Weinsteins Home. (See earlier IONWV for photos)

The President’s arrival means removal of trash cans on streets within a three block radius to the Weinsteins, all the way to the river. For me and other good WV dog owners, this means carrying a hot pile of doodie three extra blocks before we can toss it.
But I’ll suck it up. Anything for a chance to see Obama’s motorcade.
The long awaited opening of Comptoir des Cotonniers on Bleecker Street is set for tomorrow, June 8th.
Looks like the windows should be up and running by the time you walk home tonight.
The store has been in construction since November 2010.
The old Birdbath Bakery location on 7th and Charles is now Imperial Woodpecker, a shop selling New Orleans style snowballs for the summer.
Grub Street Reports they serve 33 flavors including birthday cake and mojito. They also have the basics: strawberry, peach, etc.
$4.00 for 8oz
$5.00 for 16oz

Patricia Clarkson is a dog lover:
Spotted leaving Ansonia Pharmacy, Clarkson came up to two little dogs on a walk and snapped photos of the pooches on her phone.
Phillip Seymour Hoffman must have an i-Phone with terrible service in his apartment, because he can be seen sitting out on a stoop on Jane Street, on the phone, literally everyday.
Nonno Gourmet, the wildly overpriced deli on Washington and Horatio, is rumored to be closing.
Rumor confirmed by a neighboring store owner and Nonno employee.
I hate this place so much for their 8.00 pints of ice cream and unapologetic 21.00 price tag on laundry detergent, but now that I know its going, I’m scared. Where will I get NyQuil at 2am?
And also, what will become of the space? Is it being bulldozed to make way for an and Ultimate Intermix#mce_temp_url#?! Because that is just what the far West V needs…one less place to buy toilet paper and another place to buy an over priced tank top.
Ralph Lauren closed its Women’s and Mens Stores on Bleecker:

Someone is paying $127.00 a month for rent in the West Village. PS: My rent just went up 15%!

The nice weather combined with that hot dog cart on Bleecker Street means one thing: Tourists are going to ask you where to get ice cream this weekend…and you better have an answer!!
Don’t worry, iOnWestVillage has taken to the streets to make sure that that nice German couple in funky eyewear can enjoy a delicious scoop this weekend on your block!
1. Chocolate Bar has added an ice cream counter for the summer with six of the best basic flavors. Double Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chip, etc. No muss, no fuss. 19 8th Ave between Jane and West 12th Streets.
2. Cafe Cluny has their ice cream cart teased up outside the front door but they dont start scooping until after Memorial Day. 284 West 4th at West 12th
3. Kava Coffee has surprised us by (smartly) offering Gelato this summer and taking in some of that Highline Traffic. We were excited to find a garden in the back with plenty of space in the shade to hideout with your cone. 803 Washington Street.
4. Irene’s Dolci is fairly new to the WV. Opened in the fall in a prime, and most likely very expensive, location on Hudson and Charles. They seem to be evolving their visual merchandising a bit, which is helping. The gelato(and everything else for that matter) is made on site by a mother/daughter duo! 535 Hudson St.
5. Love Gelato has an expansive menu and plenty of indoor seating. More on this place here: http://ionwestvillage.tumblr.com/post/4391076404/attention-bored-lawyers-your-dreams-can-come
6. L’Arte del Gelato is the favorite on this list. They have the most sorbetto options and they have interesting flavors like Olive Oil, Ginger and Chocolate Orange gelati. 75 7th Ave at Barrow/Chelsea Market
7. Cones is right around the corner from “Arte” offers gelato-styled ice cream in refreshing and inventive flavors like watermelon. 272 Bleecker St.
**Please note I have left off ice cream trucks. Rent is expensive in our neighborhood, go support your local businesses! Plus…Get out of my face, Van Leeuwen, with your pretentious flavors and constant parking permits!!***
